Pensacola, Fla.--Shorter volleyball fell to No. 21 West Florida on the road Friday evening, 3-1.
The loss moves the Lady Hawks to 11-9 on the season, and 5-5 in conference play.
West Florida took the first two sets to go up 2-0, but Shorter came back and won the third set before dropping set four to give the Argos the 3-1 win. Set scores were 25-16, 26-24, 23-25, and 25-19, respectively.
Tanequa Whitman led the Lady Hawks with 22 digs during the match,
Jasmine Crook chipped in with 18, and both
Dena Pierce and
Elizabeth Dowd recorded 10.
Pierce and
Cheyenne Frady each dished out 19 assists over the four sets, and Crook came away with a team high 11 kills.
Shorter will be back in action Monday, October 28, from Livingston, Alabama as they take on West Alabama at 6:30pm.
