GREENVILLE, S.C.- Amiya Redus and Aijah Manning of the Shorter Women's Basketball team were named conference players of the week for their performances this past weekend. 

Amiya Redus was named Offensive Player of the Week for her 41-point outing in the Hawks' 93-88 win over Flager. Redus was essential in the Hawks' victory, pouring in 41 points on an efficient 11-for-20 shooting, as well as going 6-for-10 from behind the arc, and knocking down 13 of her 14 free-throw attempts. Redus also grabbed eight rebounds and recorded four steals to add on to her well-rounded performance. 

Aijah Manning asserted her presence defensively for the Hawks. Manning averaged 15.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks for the Hawks this weekend. Manning posted back-to-back double-doubles against Clayton State ( 16 points and 15 rebounds) and Flagler (15 points and 10 rebounds). Against Clayton State, she recorded four steals and a block, showcasing her two-way abilities. 

Redus and Manning will look to continue their strong play as they travel to Francis Marion this Saturday for their conference opener at 5:30 PM.
