NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the All-Region honorees for the 2014-15 NCAA Division II indoor track & field season.
The top five individuals in each event from each region earned the All-Region distinction, in addition to each of the members of the regions' top three relay teams.Â
The Hawks and Lady Hawks led the country in honorees on both the men's and women's sides, with each turning in 32 honorees.
For the men,
Jordan Cross and
Wake Roberds led the Hawks with four All-Region picks each. Cross in the Mile, 3k, 5k, and the Distance Medley Relay; while Roberds earned All-Region recognition in the 400m, 800m, 4x400m and the Distance Medley Relay.
Alfred Chalenga earned three All-Region selections in the Mile, 3k, and the Distance Medley Relay.
Del'Quan Campbell (400m, 4x400m),
Josiah Jenkins (Mile, 5k),
Jamal McDaniel (60m, 200m),
Gregory Roachford, Jr. (400m, 4x400m),
Christian Smith (200m, Distance Medley Relay), and
Jonathan Willman (60m, Long Jump) each earned two All-Region picks.
Tamario Evans (60m),
Kedemah Howard (Triple Jump),
Joshua Jenkins (5k),
Bradley Moon (60m),
Jon Thomas Peterson (Weight Throw),
Supun Randeniya (60m Hurdles), and
Cole Rice (4x400m) earned an All-Region selection in one event.
For the women,
Ayana Walker (60m, 200m, 400m, 4x400m),
Ashley Ballard (60m, 200m, 400m, 4x400m),
Kemor Anderson (200m, 400m, 4x400m, Long Jump), and
Emily Buwalda (800m, Mile, 3k, Distance Medley Relay) each earned All-Region selections in four events.
Jasmine Crump (200m, 400m, 4x400m) and
Leah Sikorski (800m, Mile, Distance Medley Relay) each earned three All-Region selections.
Cynia Clark (Shot Put, Weight Throw),
Shea Giles (Long Jump, Triple Jump) and
Olivia Thompson (Mile, Distance Medley Relay) received All-Region recognition for two events.
Kryslynn Davidson (60m Hurdles),
Jasmin Ellis (Distance Medley Relay),
Hope Hendrix (Weight Throw), and Breonda Steele (High Jump) received one All-Region selection.
