LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Shorter Softball team was recognized Wednesday for its academic success, tying for 15th in the NFCA Team GPA rankings with a 3.72 team GPA. The recognition marks the Hawks' second consecutive year finishing among the top 25 nationally.
Shorter climbed 10 spots from last season after finishing tied for 25th a year ago. In addition to the team's recognition, 18 Hawks earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors.
Those recognized were JoElna Arnold, Kiley Arnold, Valery Baxter, Trinity Camp, Jordan Clay, Madilyn Curtis, Madison Hancock, Alex Hollingsworth, Sophia Jackson, Hayden Joyner, Brayleigh Leone, Lizzy Mitchell, Esperanza Reyes, Anna Sanders, Parker Smith, Ashton Stevens, Zariah Webb, and Katie Williams.
