BRISTOL, Tenn. — The Shorter Hawks (13-36, 7-21 CC) fell to King (30-24, 16-12 CC) in a 2-0 defeat in game one before dropping game two 4-1, concluding their 2026 season.
GAME ONE
The Hawks held King scoreless through the first three innings, with solid work in the circle from Rylee Gattis. The Tornado broke through in the fourth inning, driving in a pair of runs. Shorter continued to battle but was unable to generate offense or cross home plate. Strong defense defined the matchup, yet the Hawks could not overcome the 2-0 deficit.
GAME TWO
Looking to split the series, the Lady Hawks entered tame Two with momentum but surrendered an early run and again struggled to respond. King added another run before a shortstop error
allowed Madison Hancock to score, cutting the deficit to 2-1. The Tornado answered with two more runs late as the Hawks fell in a 4-1 final.
