ROME- The Shorter Softball team will begin conference play as they travel to Franklin Springs, Georgia, to face off against Emmanuel in a doubleheader series on Saturday. Both games will be streamed on the CC Digital Network, and live stats will be available.

NOTES

• The Hawks had a great showing against Clark Atlanta on Tuesday, earning a walk-off win in game one that was followed by a win in game two that was fueled by a six-run inning in the bottom of the fifth. 
• Lizzy Mitchell continued her solid play, going 3-7 with four RBI and two runs against CAU. 
• Shorter looks to carry some momentum into conference play. 

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

• The Lions have struggled this season, entering Saturday at 0-10 overall. 
• Emmanuel is looking to bounce back in conference, as they faced a tough non-conference schedule.  

SERIES HISTORY

• Emmanuel has dominated the series between them in the Hawks, entering this weekend at 7-1 all-time against Shorter.
