UPDATED: Rain alters GSC Softball Championship Schedule

Rain in the forecast for Huntsville, Ala. has altered the start of the Gulf South Conference Softball Championship this weekend.

Due to the weather, all games from Thursday have been pushed back to Friday and the bottom half of the bracket (West Florida, Shorter, Mississippi College and Lee) will now play their games at the Huntsville SportsPlex.

With the new schedule, the Lady Hawks will play 2nd-seeded West Florida Friday at 12:00pm ET (11:00am CT) and then both teams will play the winner/loser of the Mississippi College/Lee game at 3:00pm ET (2:00pm CT).

After Friday, the original schedule of the tournament will resume with all games being played at Charger Park on the campus of the Alabama Huntsville.

Due to the changes, too, none of Friday's games at the SportsPlex will be streamed, but live stats should be provided for each.

Any additional information will be posted at goshorterhawks.com, gscsports.org, or on social media.

UPDATED 5-5-2017 @ 12:55pm ET

Friday's games have been cancelled, causing the tournament to be changed to single elimination, with all games being played Saturday and Sunday. Shorter will now take on West Florida at approximately 3:00pm CT. But times will vary due to the length of the games scheduled prior. All games will begin 30 minutes after the previous game ends.
