Friday the Hawks won their first game of the season in dominating fashion after tying the game 19 all on a free throw from

Kordario Fleming chipped in with 10 points in his Shorter debut.
Saturday, however, the Hawks used a late run to come from behind to down the Magicians of Lemoyne-Owen 85-81. Shorter trailed 44-33 at the intermission after being held to minimal 38% field goal percentage, and 33% from three-point range.
