ROME- Donovan Shangase and Chris Bibbs earned all-conference nods from the Conference Carolinas for their performances across the 2025-26 campaign. Shangase earned a second-team selection while Bibbs received a third-team selection. 


Shangase had his best year as a Hawk, having averages of 19.6 points (7th in conference) and 5.2 assists (1st in conference). He appeared and started in all 25 games, finishing in double-figures in all but two games this season. Shangase had six games this season where he scored 25 or more points, including a 34-point outing against Point, in which he went 12-13 from the field. The Birmingham, Alabama native was very efficient from the floor, having a solid split of 44.9%, 38.1%, and 83.8%. Shangase also led the conference in minutes per game with a staggering 38.6 per game, proving his durability and his ability to impact the game. 


Chris Bibbs had a great showing in the 25-26 campaign for Shorter, posting 19.1 points (8th in conference) off a blistering 55.8% from the floor (5th in conference). Bibbs started out the season with a bang, dropping 40 points and 10 rebounds in an overtime loss to Middle Georgia State. Bibbs continued to shine as the season progressed, finishing in double-figures in all but one game, eclipsing 25 or more points four times. The Panama City Beach, Florida, native was also a threat on the glass, leading the team with 6.7 rebounds while also recording three double-doubles. Bibbs' efficiency on the floor separated himself from others, showcasing his dominance on the floor as well as the value he brought to the Hawks this season. 


Shangase and Bibbs helped lead Shorter to their most wins since the 2017-18 season, as well as their first tournament appearance since then. The duo also played a major role in leading the Hawks to one of the most prolific offenses in the conference, being second in team field goal percentage at 49%.
