Rome, GA – After graduating a large class in 2022, Coach Morrison and his staff were able to add some transfer talent to Shorter University. "Every incoming transfer is from the great state of Georgia. We were able to have the group of the transfers visit over the Christmas break and they made their decision to make Shorter their final home," stated Coach Morrison. After many of these student-athletes chose to go out of state for their original college choice, they are now back home in Georgia. Morrison explained, "Though our goal is always to recruit high school student-athletes we are always open to bringing in talent at mid-year. I am excited to see what these six mid-year transfers bring to the table during spring practice."

Why I picked Shorter as my new home: I branched out and went to college for three semesters at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky, which was 8 hours from my hometown (Thomaston, GA). I decided to explore my options closer to home in Georgia and received an offer to play for Shorter. As soon as I received the offer, I jumped on the opportunity to be a Hawk. The opportunity to be part of a great football program while obtaining a quality education made choosing Shorter a no-brainer for me.
