ROME- The Shorter Hawks will face conference opponent Chowan this weekend as they host their final series at home all season. Shorter recently took one out of three at home in last weekend's series against Erskine. All games will have live stats available via StatBroadcast and will be streamed on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network.
 

NOTES

• The Hawks are aiming to get hot as the season draws closer to its end. 
• Micah Shipman delivered the walk-off single for the Hawks in their lone win against Erskine this past Saturday in game one. 
• Chowan enters the Hill on Tuesday after getting swept in a home series against Southern Wesleyan last weekend, extending their losing streak to 18 games straight. Chowan sits at 3-26 overall while going 3-21 in conference play.
• On the road, Chowan is 1-9, while Shorter is 9-10 at home.
• Shorter is 2-1 all-time against Chowan, dropping their most recent matchup in a 10-6 final at Chowan on April 5, 2025.

CHOWAN PLAYERS TO LOOK OUT FOR

• Freshman C/OF Jordan Turner has stepped up offensively for Chowan throughout the season. Turner posts a .442 average while leading the Chowan Hawks in slugging (.519) and hits (34). Turner has also amassed a team-high 24 walks at the plate, showing good discipline.
