ROME- The Shorter Hawks will take a brief pause in conference play as they host Carson-Newman this Tuesday for a non-conference game.
Despite dropping the series to Ferrum, the Hawks ended their series on a positive note with a 10-6 victory in game three. First pitch will take place at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 24 and the game will be streamed directly to the CC Digital Network.

- The Hawks bounced back Saturday afternoon in the final game of their series against Ferrum with a 10-6 win.
- Shorter hopes to build momentum and find their footing in conference play as the season pushes forward.
- The Hawks remain unbeaten in non-conference, entering Tuesday at 8-0 overall.
- Carson-Newman enters Tuesday at 16-12 overall, going 8-10 in SAC action.
- The Eagles have been on a tear as of late, winning seven out of their last eight, including a ranked win against #6 Catawba.
- Carson-Newman ranks sixth in the SAC with 182 RBI as a team.
- The Hawks are 9-8 overall against CNU, falling in last season's match-up 6-3.
EAGLES TO LOOK OUT FOR
- Logan Floyd has been a threat for the Eagles, being fourth in the conference in batting average (.404) and leading the team in home runs (6).
- Kolton Casson has established himself as the best arm the Eagles have to offer. Casson enters Tuesday at 6-2 overall, with an ERA of 2.45 and 45 strikeouts.
