Wilmer Henriquez of the Shorter Baseball team was named Player of the Week by the Conference Carolinas for his respective performances from across the week.
Henriquez led the Hawks to a 3-1 record across the week, playing a major role in their first conference series win against King. In four games, the New Brunswick, New Jersey native went 6-11 with five home runs, ten RBI, and seven runs. His most notable performance was his outing against King in their series opener, going 2-2 with two home runs, three RBI, and two runs, fueling their late comeback to claim the first game of the series.
Henriquez, on the season, is batting .390, with a team-leading OPS of 1.468, 29 RBI, and nine home runs. He also ranks second in the conference in slugging percentage with a highly efficient .949 this season.
Henriquez and the Hawks will look to claim another series as they host Emmanuel this weekend, with the opening game taking place this Friday at noon and games two and three to follow on Saturday.
