GREENVILLE, S.C.- The Shorter Women's Lacrosse team was picked to finish 8th in the CC Preseason Polls as announced by the league on Thursday. 

The Hawks received 31 votes in the poll, finishing just above Southern Wesleyan who received 29 and Lees-McRae who finished with 18. Belmont Abbey received first place with 96 votes (6) and Mount Olive followed right behind with 95 (5). 

Cassidy Jones, Kaitlyn-Dwyer Peppers, and Maggie Wallace were named as Players to Watch by the conference after their strong play from last season. 

The Hawks are coming off a 4-11 season last year, where they saw a major jump in production and are looking to build upon that this season.
