Lady Hawks take down the Chowan Hawks

Rome, GA —  The Hawks vs. The Hawks! The ladies took on Chowan University on Ben Brady Field on Saturday, April 5th and ended with a victory, 15-5!

Game Summary:
The Shorter University women's lacrosse team delivered an all-around team performance on Saturday, earning a dominant 15–5 win over Chowan University. Senior Olivia Masters led the charge with a standout performance, tallying 4 goals, 2 assists, and causing 2 turnovers on the defensive end. Masters set the tone early and continued to make her presence felt on both sides of the field. Cassidy Jones added a strong showing of her own with 2 goals and 2 assists, playing a key role in facilitating the offense and finding the back of the net. Defender Annagrace Crane also made an impact all over the field, scoring a goal and recording 3 caused turnovers to anchor the defense. In the cage, Alley Jones was a brick wall, racking up 11 saves to keep Chowan's offense at bay and secure the win for the Hawks. It was a true team effort from start to finish, with solid ball movement, relentless ride pressure, and disciplined defense helping Shorter control the pace of the game. Overall, a great victory for the Lady Hawks!
