ROME, Ga. — The Shorter Women's lacrosse team took on North Greenville on Friday, March 14th and ended with the score of 19-12.
Game Summary:
On an incredibly hot and humid day, the Lady Hawks fought hard but came up short against North Greenville. Despite the conditions, the Hawks showed incredible resilience, with
Kaitlyn Dwyer-Peppers starting off the the game with the first goal, followed by
Cassidy Jones who had two goals,
Rei Voight with two more goals in the second and third quarter, and of course
Jazzelle Ware and
Tori Wolf with five goals combined.
Jazzelle Ware also fought hard on the circle and was able to come up with 10 draw controls.
Alley Jones had key saves throughout the entire game and ended with 20 saves total. The second half push brought the deficit within reach, but ultimately North Greenville was able to control the possessions which helped them seal the win.
