ROME, Ga.- To celebrate 20 years of Shorter football, Shorter Hawks athletics will be counting down the top ten moments in Shorter football history for the length of the season. 

Shorter Football's Top 10 Moments: Morlock Breaks Single-Season Receiving Touchdowns Record

Kyle Morlock produced a great career in his time with the Hawks, totaling 57 catches for 890 yards and 11 career touchdowns from 2020-2022. Morlock had a memorable 2022 campaign, in which he hauled in 30 catches for 446 yards and a school record six touchdowns.

Morlock cemented himself into Shorter history against North Greenville on November 5, 2022 when the Blairsville, Georgia native secured a 19-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to break the record. Morlock finished the day with five catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. Morlock's legacy leaves him as one of the best tight ends to step on the gridiron for the Hawks. After his time at Shorter, Morlock transfered to Florida State University where he continued his success at the next level.
