SHORTER FOOTBALL'S TOP 10 MOMENTS: HAWKS SHOCK CAMPBELL FOR FIRST-EVER FCS WIN

The Shorter Hawks kicked off their 2012 campaign on a historic note, knocking off FCS foe Campbell in a 31-20 final with game-day tomorrow being 13 years from the date.

The Hawks got on the board quickly to begin the day as Eric Dodson ran it in for two yards to put Shorter up a touchdown. Shorter's defense held strong for the remainder of the quarter, keeping the Camels scoreless as they converted on a 28 yard field goal to take a 10-0 lead after one.

Shorter's offense struggled in the second quarter as Campbell converted on a field goal and a touchdown to even the score at 10 heading into the half.

Campbell started the second half with a rushing touchdown to gain more momentum to take the 17-10 lead. Bradley Moon helped breathe life in to the Hawks offense as he ran the ball in for a two-yard touchdown to make it a 17-17 affair.

As the final quarter rolled around, the Camels took the lead after they drilled a 41 yard field goal to jump ahead 20-17. At the 4:42 mark, Eric Dodson connected with Brandon Morton on a 61 yard touchdown pass to give the Hawks the 24-20 lead. After getting another defensive stop, Bradley Moon put the nail in the coffin as the Conyers, Georgia native exploded for a 61 yard rushing touchdown to deliver the Hawks a historic victory.

The Shorter defense was on full display as the Hawks forced five fumbles while attaining 454 yards of total offense.
