GREENVILLE, S.C.- The Shorter men's soccer team was picked to finish 15th in the Conference of the Carolinas preseason poll as announced by the league on Monday.
Shorter tallied 24 points, with Ferrum just ahead of them with 25 and Erskine racking up 37, respectively. Francis Marion earned the top spot with 183 points, six of which were first place votes, and Chowan just narrowly behind with 180, four of which were also first place votes.
The Hawks have high hopes as they enter the new season, with an even mix of veteran leadership and potential in their recruiting class. Charles Garcia and
Shalom Akinbulumo return for the Hawks after each had a solid year. The pair tied for second in goals with two and are looking to make an impact on the new year.
