Men's Tennis tops Point, 5-4

West Point, Ga. -- The Hawks continued the success they've had as of late, extending their win streak to three games with a 5-4 win over Point University Thursday afternoon on the road.

The win improves the team to 8-11 overall.

Trailing after doubles, the Hawks turned things around in singles play to earn the win. In doubles play Shorter's lone win came at number two as Arthur Amat and Talha Zubair topped Rafa Hewett and Alonso Trevis 8-6.

While, in singles the Hawks won four of the six matchups. Louis Tourtois earned the win at number one 6-4, 5-7, 6-3. Jimmy Kerjouan defeated Daniel Blanchard 6-2, 6-3. Amat posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory at number four and Robert Watson turned in a 6-1, 6-2 win at number six.

The team will close out the regular season Saturday when they, along with the women's team, travel to Dalton, Ga. to take on Dalton State. Matches are set to begin at 1:00pm.
