Hartsville, S.C. -- The Hawks moved to 0-2 on the day after falling to Limestone 31-21.
The Saints jumped out to an early lead, winning the first two matchups to take an 11-0 lead.
Alfred Shavers, wrestling at 141, then cut the lead in half when he recorded a win over Christopher Diaz Rivera via fall in 2:40 to bring the score to 11-6. Limestone took the next two weight classes to extend their lead to 19-6 going into the 165 matchup.
Kade Kitchens remained perfect on the day, having won his match against Belmont Abbey, turning in a pin in 3:49 against Michael Mota to cut the lead to four.
Wally Figaro also earned his second win of the day, taking the match versus Matthew Ostermiller 6-2, and cut the lead to one, 19-18.
The Saints took the win for the match, winning the next two fights, before
Christian Flavin recorded a win via fall in 3:23 for Shorter at 285 over Justin Tribble for the 31-21 final score.
