Mobile, Ala.--Women's tennis advances to the semi-finals of the National Christian College Athletic Association National Championship with 5-0 win over Dallas Baptist University Wednesday morning.

The Lady Hawks jumped out to an early lead; sweeping doubles play. Candice Laurent / Aurelie Gaborit topped Cassandra Wenerstrom / Amanda Richter 8-0. Samya El Hsissen and Aurore Beltrando earned the win 8-6 over Leah Rutt and Leah Smith; while Sicquena Sinclair and Ornella Frere swept Lyvia Gomes and Meredith Robinson 8-0.

In singles, Shorter earned the win 5-0, after Daniela Chipe and Beltrando both won their matches. Chipe topped Gomes (6-0, 6-0) and Beltrando defeated Alexa Mentesana (6-0, 6-1).

The Lady Hawks emerge pool play as the No. 1 team from Pool B, and will take on Southern Nazarene at 10:00am Thursday morning in the semi-finals. Dallas Baptist advances to the semi-finals as the No. 2 team from Pool B and will take on Azusa Pacific Thursday morning at 10:00am, as well.
