BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Shorter Women's Tennis team edged King University Saturday afternoon in a 4-3 victory. The win improves the Hawks to 10-12 overall on the season.
The Hawks set the tone early in doubles play, claiming the point with wins in two of the three matches to take a 1-0 lead.
In singles action, Shorter and King battled evenly, each side earning three victories. The Hawks' strong start in doubles ultimately proved to be the difference, as they held on to secure the narrow 4-3 team win.
