ROME--
Both, men's and women's tennis bested Lee Saturday afternoon; the Hawks, 8-1, and the Lady Hawks, 9-0.

The Lady Hawks improve to 10-5 overall, and 4-1 in the Gulf South Conference; the win also gives Shorter a 9-0 victory in each of its conference wins this season.

Shorter swept doubles play; winning all six matches of the day.

The Lady Hawks won 5 of 6 singles matches in straight sets, with Daniela Chipe winning in a tiebreak third set to top Jodie Rice (4-6, 6-3, 3).
