Full Men's Results

Jacksonville, Ala.--Wednesday the Shorter tennis teams travelled to Jacksonville, Ala. to take on NCAA Division I Jacksonville State University. The Hawks fell to the Gamecocks 8-1, while the Lady Hawks were defeated 5-4.

The men move to 1-9 on the season, and the women go to 7-4.

The Hawks lone win came at No. 1 singles as Marc Guerry topped Jacksonville State's Pedro Wagner 6-1, 6-1.

The Lady Hawks, trailed 2-1 after doubles; Aurore Beltrando / Samya El Hsissen topped Zoe Bizinos / Danielle Kerindi, 8-2. In singles, Candice Laurent topped Raisa Guasti (6-3, 6-3), El Hsissen defeated Bizinos (6-1, 7-6) and Sicquena Sinclair earned the win (6-4, 6-2) over Sadey St. Amant.

Both, the Hawks and Lady Hawks will be back in action Friday, March 14, as they travel to Florence, Ala. for a Gulf South Conference match-up with North Alabama. Matches begin at 2pm EST.
