ROME--
This week both men's and women's tennis fell to Emory; the men Tuesday on the road 9-0, and the women Thursday at home, 8-1.

The Hawks move to 1-4 on the season, and the Lady Hawks go to 2-3 overall.

After winning their first matches of the season, Shorter's men have fallen into a rough patch as of late, dropping the last four outings. The loss to the Eagles marked the second time this season the Hawks have been held winless in a match.

The Lady Hawks had a tough opponent in the Eagles Thursday, with their only win coming at No. 1 singles as Candice Laurent came from behind to upend Emory's Gabrielle Clark 7-5, 6-2.

Tennis will be back in action Saturday, February 22, as they travel to Atlanta to take on SCAD-Atlanta; matches are set to begin at 1:00pm.
