ROME--Friday, January 10, wrestling took to the mat for the final time at home this season as Life University visited the Winthrop-King Centre for a duals match. The Hawks defeated the Running Eagles 27-16.

Demarcus Thomas, Dalton Lane and Terrence Smith each earned wins via decision for Shorter. Thomas, at 141, defeated Dillan Schouw 14-10. At 174, Lane topped Deandre Sims 13-7, and Smith defeated Trey Hicks 5-4 at 184.

The Hawks will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Millersville, Penn. to take part in the Mid-Penn Duals hosted by Millersville University.
