ROME--Lady Hawks' volleyball defeated the Lady Bucs of Christian Brothers Friday evening, by a 3-0 margin. The win gives the Shorter its sixth straight and improves its record to 17-9 overall, and 9-5 in the Gulf South Conference.
In Friday's match it was all Shorter, as the Lady Hawks earned the victory in straight sets. Set scores were 25-22, 25-21, and 25-22, respectively.
Erica Baker led the attack for Shorter with 7 kills,
Anna Graham posted six, and both
Jennifer Campbell and
Jasmine Crook recorded five.
Elizabeth Dowd earned a team high eleven digs for the Lady Hawks, while
Dena Pierce and
Tanequa Whitman each chipped in with ten. Pierce also recorded a team high 19 assists;
Cheyenne Frady dished out 12 over the three sets.
Shorter will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm as fellow GSC-provisional member, Union, visits the Winthrop-King Centre.
