ROME--For the second straight match, the Lady Hawks earned a 3-0 victory; this time over fellow Gulf South foe West Georgia.
Set scores were 25-16, 25-14, and 25-12, respectively. The win brings Shorter to 14-9 on the season and 7-5 in the GSC.
Erica Baker and
Anna Graham led the attack for the Lady Hawks, posting 10 kills each.
Elizabeth Dowd chipped in with nine kills, while also recording a match high 15 digs.
Tanequa Whitman earned 13 digs on the night.
Dena Pierce dished out 26 assists bringing her season total to 513, and
Cheyenne Frady recorded 11 over the three sets. Â
Shorter will return to Gulf South action as Valdosta State visits the Winthop-King Centre tomorrow, November 2, at 1:00pm.
