ROME, Ga.- The Shorter Women's Soccer team will kickoff the 2026 season on Saturday as they host Erskine


Kickoff is set for 10:00 a.m. ET on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network. 


NOTES

• The Hawks have prepared for the season with two quality exhibition matches in which they have competed well. 
• Saturday will be year two for head coach Alissa Gembach at Shorter, as the Hawks are looking to take a major leap. 
• Shorter returns several key players from last year's squad, such as Kaylin Stallings and Karis Eccleston. 

SCOUTING THE FLEET

• The Flying Fleet enters Saturday's match at 0-2 to start the season. 
• Erskine College has yet to find the back of the net this season, as they have been outscored 2-0 so far this year. 
• This marks the third year of Lucy Hutto at the helm of the Erskine College soccer program. 

SERIES HISTORY

• This marks the fifth official meeting between Shorter and Erskine College, with the Flying Fleet up 0-2-2 against the Hawks.
