ROME, Ga.- The Hawks will open road conference play with a slate of matches against UNC Pembroke on Friday and Francis Marion on Saturday.
Friday's match against the Braves will take place at 6 p.m. ET, while Saturday's match will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday. Both matches will be streamed to the Conference Carolinas Digital Network.
NOTES
- The Hawks are coming off a resounding 3-2 victory over reigning conference champions Emmanuel this past Wednesday, handing them their first conference opening loss since 2014.
- Shorter set school records in digs (127), attacks (236), and nearly set a new kill record with their second-most in a game with 66 kills.
- Victoria Sparks made her season debut, posting a triple-double of 15 kills, 16 points, and 28 digs.
- Defensively, the Hawks rank fourth in digs per game at 16.97 in conference play.
SCOUTING THE BRAVES
- The Braves enter Friday at 4-4 overall, beginning conference play with a 3-1 win over Mount Olive.
- UNCP returns Abby Peduzzi from last year's squad, who currently leads the team with 81 kills.
- Jaleesa Harper enters her third season with the Braves, looking to recreate last year's success.
