CALERA, Ala. – The Shorter men's golf team turned in a strong performance at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational (Men), finishing second in the team standings with a three-round total of 858 (286-281-291) at Timberline Golf Club. 

 

The Hawks placed four golfers inside the top 10 individually, helping secure the runner-up finish in the six-team field.  Leading the way for the Hawks were Tommy Harris and Nathan Martin, who tied for fifth place with matching three-round totals of 214 (+1). Harris posted rounds of 70, 71 and 73, while Martin closed the tournament with a final-round 70 after opening rounds of 72 and 72.

 

Neil Patterson and Inigo De Anta each finished tied for seventh at 215 (+2). Patterson carded rounds of 69, 70 and 76, while De Anta rebounded from an opening-round 75 with scores of 68 and 72 over the final two rounds. Lance Blackburn rounded out the Shorter lineup, placing 33rd with a three-round total of 245.

The Hawks will look ahead as they next compete in the T. Dunning Invitational hosted by Delta State on September 21.
