SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Shorter Men's Golf team turned in an impressive performance at the Conference Carolinas Championships this past Sunday through Tuesday, finishing sixth overall with a team score of 886 (+22). The Hawks were led by a trio of golfers who each placed inside the top 15.
Tommy Harris paced Shorter with an 11th-place finish, posting a three-round score of +4. Harris opened the tournament strong with an even-par round before carding back-to-back rounds of +2 to stay consistent throughout the event. Nathan Martin followed closely behind, tying for 15th at +5. After a challenging +6 in the opening round, Martin responded with one of the team's best rounds of the tournament at -1 in round two, before closing with an even-par performance to climb the leaderboard.
Noah Small also earned a tie for 15th, matching Martin with a +5 total. Small opened with a +2 and followed with a +4 in round two, but capped his tournament with an impressive -1 in the final round. Inigo de Anta finished 23rd overall at +8, rebounding from consecutive +6 rounds to post a strong +1 in the final round. Jack Floyd rounded out the lineup with a 44th-place finish, carding a +16 over three rounds.
