Alissa Gembach Named Women's Soccer Head Coach

ROME, Ga.- Shorter University is pleased to announce the naming of Alissa Gembach as the head coach of the Women's Soccer program.

Gembach comes to Rome after a two-year stint as an assistant coach for Randolph College, where she helped the Wildcats to a 15-17-3 overall record. Prior to Randolph, Gembach served as the head coach for Poinciana High School in Kissimmee, Florida from 2019-2023. In her time at Poinciana, Gembach helped the Eagles compete and was recognized as a finalist for Poinciana High School Coach of the Year in 2022 and 2023.

Gembach was a four-year member of the Randolph soccer program from 2013-2016. During her time with the Wildcats, she broke the record for most games started at 72, which is still an active record. She totaled five goals and five assists while starting every game in her collegiate career.

"I am very excited to be here", said head coach Alissa Gembach. "I believe there is major opportunity here and I am excited to get to work and help create a culture for this program".
