ROME, Ga.- The Shorter Women's Soccer fell to Ferrum at Ben Brady Field Saturday afternoon in a 1-0 final.
The Hawks and Panthers battled to a scoreless first half with Karis Eccleston recording four saves to anchor Shorter's defense. As the second half rolled around, the deadlock continued until the 52nd minute when Ferrum scored.
The Hawks battled hard with the Panthers throughout the rest of the match, generating several opportunities on the offensive side. Unfortunately, the Hawks would fall short despite a late push in a 1-0 final.
The loss drops the Hawks to 1-10-2 overall and 0-9-2 in conference.
UP NEXT
Shorter will return to Ben Brady Field for their final home match-up of the season next Tuesday at 5:30 PM to face Southern Wesleyan.
