Birmingham, AL - Shorter University Women's Track & Field receives Gulf South Conference Player of the Week. Redshirt Sophomore, SheQuilla McClain was named this week's GSC Track Performer of the Week.

McClain a native of Stone Mountain, GA is having fantastic year so far, racking up the 1^st place finishes at multiple meets. This past weekend at the Berry Field Day Invitational she took home the top spot twice in her events. Placing first in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.53 and SheQuilla and her 4x100 meter team placed first, with a time of 47.14.

McClain is currently ranked 12^th in the 100 meter hurdles in Division II and Shorter's 4x100 meter team is currently ranked 16h in the nation in Division II.

The Hawks will compete in the Georgia Tech Open this weekend, April 19-20.
