MOUNT BERRY, GA | The Hawks competed in their first outdoor meet of the year this weekend at Berry College. Shorter competed in the Victor Ice Breaker Duals at Valhalla Stadium, where many Hawks had amazing results. Several Hawks placed, some even finishing in top five for the competition.

100 Meter Dash:

—Two Hawks finished in the top ten in the 100 meter dash.

—Ansley Long finished in second place with a time of 12.18.

—Laniya Rogers finished in ninth place with a time of 12.70.

200 Meter Dash:

—Four Hawks finished in the top 20 in the 200 meter dash.

—Jasmine Crump finished in second place with a time of 25.75.

—Ansley Long finished in sixth place with a time of 26.71.

—Laniya Rogers finished in 16th place with a time of 27.64.

—Cheyenne Easley finished in 18th place with a time of 27.77

400 Meter Dash:

—Chikosia finished at 22nd place with a time of 1:07.41.

800 Meter Dash:

—Makayla Hopkins finished at 27th place with a time of 2:44.08.

100 Meter Hurdles:

—Two Hawks finished in the top five at the 100 meter hurdles.

—SheQuilla McClain finished at first place in the competition with a time of 14.53.

—Aspen McClain finished in fifth place with a time of 15.80

400 Meter Hurdles:

—SheQuilla McClain finished in third place for the competition with a time of 1:09.56

4x100 Meter Relay:

—Shorter came in first at the 4x100 meter relay competition.

—Jasmine Crump, SheQuilla McClain, Laniya Rogers, and Ansley Long finished with a time of 47.24.

4x400 Meter Relay:

—Shorter came in 13th place at the 4x400 meter relay competition.

—Chikosia Delaney, Aspen McClain, Heather Ortiz, and Makayla Hopkins all finished for Shorter with a time of 4:34.81

High Jump:

—The Hawks' Alicia McClellan finished the women's high jump in second place with a height of 1.56m.

Long Jump:

—Shorter's Ansley Long finished in first at the women's long jump with a distance of 5.91m.

Triple Jump:

—Two Hawks finished in the top ten at the women's triple jump.

—Aspen McClain finished in third place with a distance of 10.87m.

—Ashlynn Starr finished for Shorter in tenth with a distance of 9.51m.

Shot Put:

—Jovoreya Grant finished in 19th place with a distance of 9.69m.

—Alicia McClellan finished for Shorter in 25th place with a distance of 9.00m.

Discus Throw:

—Shorter's Jovoreya Grant finished 18th place with a distance of 27.32m

Hammer Throw:

—Jovoreya Grant finished in first place for the competition with a distance of 44.31m
