Another interesting battle for our lady hawks this weekend as they face off against the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College. Spectators and Shorter fans hearts were throbbing after witnessing an anguishing lost. Mountain lions struck early recording 5 goals within 7-minute stretch. Shorter had struck a small spark from Freshmen Alexis Mount tallying up goals. What really SHATTERED the lady hawks' chances of winning were turnovers. 25 turnovers from simple mistakes. Our Lady Hawks played timid in the first half but displayed signs of true competitors late in the second half.

As the second half began, it was obvious that the Mountain Lions were not going to take their feet off the accelerator. The Mountain Lions played with complete poise and determination throughout the entire game using the athletics ability and IQ of to defeat our Lady Hawks. Freshmen attacker Amani Robinson shifted the momentum of the second half as she scored on 3 goals on 3 consecutive possessions. Our Lady Hawks were still defeated by Mountain Lions miraculous style of play. The score was 18-4.
