Livingston, Ala.--On Monday the volleyball team travelled to Livingston, Ala. for a Gulf South Conference match up with West Alabama, and came home victorious 3-1.
The win improved the Lady Hawks to 12-9 on the season, and 6-5 in conference play.
The Tigers won the first set 25-20, but it was Shorter the rest of the way as the Lady Hawks won the final three sets by scores of 25-23, 25-14, and 25-15, respectively.
During the match,
Jasmine Crook recorded 12 kills and 18 digs.
Elizabeth Dowd chipped in with 10 digs and 8 kills,
Anna Graham and
Kelsey Kirk each recorded eight kills.
Tanequa Whitman recorded a match high 21 digs through the four sets.
Dena Pierce dished out 22 assists, and added 12 digs.
Cheyenne Frady posted 15 assists.
The Lady Hawks return to the Winthrop-King Centre tonight, October 29, in a non-conference match with Columbus State at 7:00pm.
