ROME--Lady Hawks' volleyball defeated North Alabama in straight sets to extend their win streak to five matches.
The win improves Shorter to 9-5 overall, and 5-3 in the Gulf South. Set scores from the match were 25-17, 25-22, and 25-10, respectively.
The Lady Hawks have been riding a hot streak since dropping the first three matches in conference play; since October 1st, however, Shorter has been perfect.
In the match the Lady Hawks were able to post a pretty balanced performance across the board.
Anna Graham recorded a match high 10 kills, while
Tanequa Whitman and
Jasmine Crook led the way in digs with 14 and 13, respectively. Â
Dena Pierce ended the match with 18 assists, and
Cheyenne Frady chipped in with 15 en route to the win.
Shorter will be back in action October 15 in Cleveland, Tenn. when they  face off against former SSAC foe Lee University in their first meeting since the Lady Flames joined the Gulf South Conference. Match time is set for 7:00pm.
