Box Score FLORENCE, S.C.- The Hawks fell to Francis Marion Saturday afternoon in a tough 5-0 loss at Hartzler Field. 


The loss drops Shorter to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. 


Shorter fell behind early, as the Patriots found the back of the net just before the first minute to grab the early lead. The Hawks struggled to contain the hosts for the remainder of the half, allowing three more goals as they entered the break trailing 4-0. 


Defensively, the Hawks played a much better second half, allowing just one goal but could not climb out of the big deficit, falling in a 5-0 defeat. 


UP NEXT
Shorter will be back in Rome this Wednesday as they host Young Harris with first kick slated for 6 p.m.
