SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Shorter Women's Golf team battled hard in the Conference Carolinas Championships, finishing 11th overall with a team score of 1030.
Kenyln Clark led the way for the Hawks with a consistent three-round performance, placing 22nd overall for the tournament. She opened the tournament with a 77 (+5) in round one, followed by an 84 (+12) in round two, before closing strong with an 81 (+9) to finish with a total score of 242 (+26).
Taylor Young showed steady improvement throughout the event, carding an 88 (+16) in the opening round before bouncing back with an 81 (+9) in round two. She capped off her tournament with an 80 (+8), finishing with a three-round total of 249 (+33).
Leah Anderson turned in her best round in the middle of the tournament, shooting an 80 (+8) in round two after opening with an 86 (+14). She closed with a 90 (+18) to finish at 256 (+40) overall.
Taylor Haines rounded out the scoring for the Hawks, posting an 86 (+14) in round one and improving to an 80 (+8) in round two. She finished with a 90 (+18) in the final round to match Anderson with a total score of 256 (+40).
