WILSON, N.C.- The Shorter women's soccer team fell to the Barton Bulldogs Saturday morning in a narrow 1-0 defeat.
The Hawks and Bulldogs engaged in a defensive oriented battle. Both sides refused to budge and would enter the half scoreless. The Bulldogs eventually struck in the 55th minute, taking the 1-0 lead. Shorter continued to fight, but struggled to convert offensively as the Hawks would be bested in a 1-0 final.
Karis Eccleston performed well in goal once again, recording 12 saves in the full 90 minutes of action.

Shorter will continue their road stretch as they will face Southern Wesleyan next Saturday the 27th at 1:00 PM.
