ROME - The Shorter Women's Basketball drops to 4-6 on the season after falling to Edward Waters this Wednesday in a 54-42 loss at the Winthrop-King Centre.
The Hawks and the Tigers went back and forth throughout the first quarter, with Edward Waters gaining a 20-14 lead going into the second. The Hawks outscored the Tigers 11-9 in the second quarter, but were still trailing 29-25 going into halftime. The Hawks battled with the visitors throughout the second half, but struggled to convert as the Tigers gained an upper hand. Shorter battled, but could not get over their shooting slump as they fell in a 54-42 final.
Amiya Redus made her ninth start today, leading the Hawks with 14 points.
Chelsy Singleton followed closely behind, as she totaled 11 points.

Shorter will stay home this weekend to face the 3-6 Chowan University Hawks at 2:00 PM.
