ROME, Ga.- To celebrate 20 years of Shorter University football, Shorter Hawks athletics will be counting down the top ten moments in Shorter University football history for the length of the season.

Shorter Football's Top 10 Moments: Dennis Breaks Single-Season Touchdowns Record

Quarterback Aeneas Dennis left his mark on Shorter in his time with the Hawks. The 2022 season proved to be a special one for Dennis, who passed for 1,566 yards and 16 touchdowns with just three interceptions. Dennis eclipsed 200 + passing yards four time that season, including a 258-yard outing against Mississippi College, where he also threw for three touchdowns on an impressive 60.9% completion percentage.

Dennis eclipsed the record against West Florida on November 15, 2022 when he found Kyle Morlock in the back of the endzone. Dennis went 18-of-31 with 220 passing yards and two touchdowns against UWF. 

Dennis' 2022 campaign proved to be one of the most efficient and strong seasons from a Hawks quarterback in recent years.
