ROME, Ga.- The Shorter Women's soccer team ended today's contest against Emmanuel University in a 0-0 tie.

 The Hawks and Lions battled it out in the first half, with the Lions firing a multitude of shots towards the Hawks. Shorter's defense shined with Karis Eccleston leading the charge. The Hawks' defense slowed down Emmanuel's offense, which in turn, allowed the Hawks to find offensive opportunities. Both sides entered the half at a stalemate. 

The second half was much of the same as the first, with both sides defending at a high rate. The Hawks and Lions traded passes across the field to get in the opposing backlines, but neither managed to find the net as the Hawks forced the 0-0 draw. 

The tie puts Shorter at 1-5-1 this season as well as 0-4-1 in conference action.

Shorter will return to Ben Brady to face Erskine this Tuesday at a 2:30 kickoff time.
