Trevino's Late Game Heroics Elevate Hawks Over Southern Wesleyan

ROME, Ga.- The Shorter Men's Soccer team defeated Southern Wesleyan at Ben Brady Field Wednesday night in a 2-1 victory.

The visitors got on the board quickly, scoring in just the second minute of action to take the lead. Shorter managed to keep the Warriors out of the net for the remainder of the half, backed by a solid defensive showing from goalkeeper Brallam Cux

Joao Beer set the tone to begin the second half for the Hawks, as the forward headed in a beautiful cross from Luis Romero to even the score and bring major momentum to Shorter. The Hawks and Warriors battled it out for the remainder of the match, going shot-for-shot. With just 12 seconds remaining, Carter Morningstar dished the ball to Levi Trevino, who, in turn, delivered the game-winning goal for the Hawks that proved to be his first career goal as Shorter ended their home stretch at Ben Brady in a resounding 2-1 victory.
