FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.- Strong play in goal from freshman goalie
Brallam Cux and an overall team effort from the Hawks elevated them to a 1-0 victory over Emmanuel Wednesday night.
The Hawks and Lions battled in the early going, trading shots and playing physical.
Matthew Molina put the Hawks in front with a goal less then 10 minutes remaining in the first period to give Shorter the lead before the break.
Shorter's defense held strong in the second half, as the Lions delivered a flurry of shots to
Brallam Cux. In Cux's first career start, the freshman tallied seven saves and recorded a clean sheet as the Hawks shut down the Lions in the second half to walk away with the victory.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will be back at Ben Brady this Saturday where they will host Ferrum as well as honor their seniors at 11:30 AM.
