ROME, Ga. –The Shorter women's soccer team fell Saturday afternoon to North Greenville in a 6-1 final on the road.
The Hawks struggled to keep up with the Trailblazers with three shots taken by them in the first 15 minutes.The Trailblazers scored their first goal of the half at the 29:34 minute, putting Shorter behind a goal. The Hawks responded quickly with a goal of their own by Danilyn Sheats off a penalty kick. The Hawks entered the hald evened up at one.
The Hawks' defense was looking for a spark in the second half. Nonetheless, the Trailblazers' offense overpowered Shorter. North Greenville totaled 14 shots, with four of them being on target, putting them over the Hawks 6-1.
This puts Shorter at 1-6-2 on the season while being 0-5-2 in conference.

Shorter will return home to Ben Brady to face off against Young Harris College for the first time this season, on October 15th at 4:00 pm.
