ROME, Ga.- To celebrate 20 years of Shorter football, Shorter Hawks athletics will be counting down the top ten moments in Shorter football history for the length of the season.
Shorter Football's Top 10 Moments: Pullum Breaks Single Game Passing Yards Record
Tyler Pullum had a legendary career as a Shorter Hawk. Pullum broke numerous school records in his career, with November 4, 2017, standing out. In a tight 30-29 loss against Mississippi College, Pullum had a legacy performance. Pullum completed 25 of 40 passes with a school record 442 yards through the air and four passing touchdowns. Three Hawk receivers had over 100 yards, with standout Lewis Hayes hauling in seven catches for 141 yards. Kartez Carr caught five passes for 127 yards and two scores as Joseph Ross hauled in six catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Pullum helped keep the Hawks in the game, and nearly delivered them their first win of the 2017 season, but unfortunately came up short.
Despite the Hawks not winning a game in the 2017 season, Pullum produced incredible numbers through the air and proved to be a threat throughout the Gulf South Conference.
